1. Scope of this policy
This policy explains how USLOOBI handles information connected with the official website and the USLOOBI WALK app. We aim to provide a clear, practical experience while giving users control over their data and permissions.
2. Information we may handle
Depending on how you use the service, we may handle your name, email address, account and profile information, an optional profile image, app usage, movement and progress information, Outdoor Mode sessions, Walk & Talk participation, reports, blocks, moderation and appeal records, and crash and diagnostic information.
3. Local and cloud storage
Some information is stored on your device, including local daily movement status, your Goal Planner plan, and backup and export files. The app also keeps a local copy of your profile and walking-session history.
When you use a registered account, profile information and walking sessions may sync to Firebase Firestore. Local information may be lost if you delete the app or clear device data unless you have kept a copy.
4. App Movement, Outdoor Mode, and location
Today’s App Movement updates while the app is open and active. It is not presented as full-day step tracking.
When you start an Outdoor Mode session, the app may use location permission to calculate your route, distance, pace, and speed, and may save the session time, steps, route points, and summary. The session is stored locally and may sync to Firestore for registered accounts. Not every app feature needs location, and Walk & Talk does not share your location publicly. You can manage permissions in your device settings.
5. Health Connect
Health Connect appears in profile, progress, and workout interfaces as an optional preliminary integration, and the Android app declares the READ_STEPS permission. The app can currently check whether Health Connect is available and open its settings. In the current version, however, USLOOBI WALK does not import, save, or transmit Health Connect step, heart-rate, calorie, or workout values. Today’s App Movement relies on motion detected while the app is open and is not full-day health tracking.
6. Goal Planner and profile
In Goal Planner, a user may enter sex, age, height, current weight, target weight, and walking preferences. The current implementation saves the latest plan in a local file on the device. This information is used to show a general wellbeing plan inside the app. It is not a diagnosis or medical recommendation.
A profile may include a name, username, email address, optional image, and information or preferences added by the user. A local copy of the profile is stored temporarily and may sync to Firestore for a registered user.
7. Authentication and accounts
The app uses Firebase Authentication for email-and-password registration and sign-in, email verification, and password recovery. When a guest joins a Walk & Talk room through an invitation, the app may use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to create the limited guest identity needed to participate.
8. Walk & Talk and voice communication
Walk & Talk operates through private invitation rooms. It is not a public matching or discovery service. The system may store the session identifier, host and guest identifiers, invitation status, creation and expiration times, and the communication-room name.
Voice communication may operate through LiveKit and use the microphone after permission is granted. The reviewed app implementation does not show a path that records the content of voice conversations. The communication service may process technical data needed to create the room, transmit audio, and operate the connection.
9. Reports, blocking, moderation, and appeals
Users can report or block other users. A report may include identifiers for the person reporting and the person reported, a session identifier, the reason, details written by the user, the report status, and its creation date. Block records store identifiers for both parties and the time of the block.
We may review reports to support safety rules, and an account may be warned, restricted, suspended, or have its access ended. If a user submits an appeal, it may include the user identifier, appeal message, status, and date.
10. Backup and export
The app may provide local backup, export, or restore functions that include the profile, local profile image, movement status, and walking-session history. Users are responsible for keeping exported files secure, and the restore process may have limitations.
11. How we use and share information
We use information to operate the app, manage accounts, enable Outdoor Mode and private rooms, support safety and moderation, respond to support requests, improve reliability, and meet legal requirements.
USLOOBI does not sell personal information. Information may be processed through services needed to operate the website or app, including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Firebase Crashlytics where configured or available, LiveKit when voice communication is enabled, and Cloudflare for website infrastructure. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or for safety and abuse-prevention purposes.
12. Website privacy
The current website is static and does not use a contact form that sends data to a database. When you choose to email us, the link opens your email app and your message is delivered through the email service you use. The current website does not add analytics, tracking tools, or marketing cookies.
13. Data security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Please protect your device and sign-in details, and avoid sharing sensitive information during voice conversations.
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or it is affected by app or device actions. We may retain cloud records for as long as needed for account, safety, moderation, legal, and operational purposes, and report records may be kept longer when needed. This policy does not specify one standard numerical retention period.
14. Your choices
You can manage movement, location, and microphone permissions in your device settings; choose not to use optional features; avoid Walk & Talk if you do not want voice communication or invitation-based conversations; and contact us with privacy questions. The app also provides a path to delete an account and its associated data according to the available functionality.
15. Children’s privacy
The service is not directed to anyone below the minimum age established by applicable law or platform rules. If a parent or guardian believes a child has provided data to USLOOBI, please contact us.
16. Not medical advice
Walking and wellbeing content, Guides, and Goal Planner outputs provide general information only. They are not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
17. Changes to this policy and contact
We may update this policy as USLOOBI features, app functionality, or legal requirements change.
